BS on what they have to do to replace the belt. I did it myself and it took about one hour. Probably takes them about 15 min. They remove the air box and a shroud in the right front wheel well. Thats it. No mounts involved. And the belt is about $30-40, how much were they charging? Ask them if replacing the idler pulley is included (it should be if they are worth a darn - the pulley is recommended at 60k too).
As far as price, my dealer charges a similar amount, which is robbery. My indy mechanic would charge about $400, including the aforementioned pulley. They should also replace brake fluid and coolant, note REPLACE, not top off like my dealer would. There are other items as well, check your manual for a full list. I don't think the pulley is in there. Its very important to replace that. I've already done my serpentine belt and pulley, and in two weeks I'm going to do most of the other stuff myself.
