Pushed gently into the gap on the stuck side while pulling down gently on the side that's not stuck, will dislodge the offending item hanging up. Or feed the coathanger in fron the unstuck side to pull and stir the stuff on the stuck side.
Some times you can dislodge the item hung up by firmly slapping the glove box lid. Some times a side hill lie will help the shift.
This is not permission to "gorilla" anything. Don't gouge you're glove box lid or opening, don't dent the dash or glove box lid. You've just got something hanging it up that needs to be rustled a little.
