Have in my possesion a Saab certified 99 Viggen. Overall good shape with 38K miles on it. I am not new to the Viggen, but I have been on a break for the last year and half. Back in early 2000 I had a 2000 lightening blue coupe that I sold wih 18K miles on it - a real beauty (back then I posted on Saabnet as MPY). At any rate I had an open bay in the garage so I picked up another one. Boy does it feel more broken in at 38K miles!

OK - The questions begin:

1) Airdam Mesh - Replace or repair? This one is flaking and is dented a bit - one of the few minor flaws of the car. Do I replace or rebend/paint? Thoughts? Whats the best place to buy a replacement?

2) Air dam spoiler scratches - The second minor thing - underside looks - well you know - like my 2000 did with 20K more miles of scratches - whats a technigque to make this visually appealing - any secrets? I am not looking to repair the scratches but to hide them.

3) Spare - This thing has the tiny donut - Has anyone put a full size spare on a Viggen rim in there?

4) 40K service - how much and what did they do?

5) Saab Ceritified warranty - Need new rims - I see some fading;) These are clearly bent as I get the Viggen shimy. Does the extended warranty by Saab still cover this? I had the rims on my 2000 replaced at 14K miles.

Thanks all - as I do different things I will return the favor and post DIY stuff on my website.

My plan with this car is to use it as a daily driver for a while and get it back to showroom new as much as I can. The body and interior are fairly prestine for a 4 year old car and it just took a 1000 mile drive with no issues. Once done I will add VRK, Upgraded ECU, Sport Exhaust, and add some PZero Neros to replace the garbage Dunlops.

I love the Viggen.
