My 99 Viggen does not *seem* to have a tremenous amount of boost either. Dont get me wrong, the thing takes off strong when spooled up, and I get a minor amount of torque steer. But I drove in a 1 day old yellow Viggen '00 (i think) with 4 large guys in the car and my memory is telling me that that car was downright faster than my 99 is with just my skinny butt in the seat.
I have read time and time again about the adaptive nature of the T7, which I do believe is true, but in my case I dont have the road conditions or traffic patterns available to me to *train* the T7 to go go go. So I am happy with the car anyway.
I almost think the only to truly see if things are performing properly in your car is to possible hook up with another Viggen owner in your area and exchange keys and stories for a true test. Cars nowadays are just too damn smart and each seems to develop a personality of its own which could make side by side comparisons difficult.
My $2.
