Hey Ed:
It is really easy to spot and diagnose atleast on a '00 93se. Probably in the same location for modern Saabs. They have made access as open and easy as possible.
Ed, open your hood. From in front, the "low-pressure" valve side for the A/C system is to the left of the Headlight adjustment and "katty corned" just off the battery. It has a black cap that is simply screwed off.
With your gauge, which mfgs. have standardized, you attach the gauge connection to this low pressure port. Take your reading following the gauge mfg.'s instructions. I checked first then re-filled my freon to about 33psi. Ensure that you, following instruc., let your system run for about 3-4 minutes, then check the reading and add as needed (if needed). The guage is something you'll want to buy, as it ensures you don't overcharge your system.
Good Luck
Ron (Ddude)
