I have a 99 9'3 base with heated cloth seats. The seats are the least comfortable things I have ever sat on--which I have heard is unusual for a Saab. I would like to swap them out for a different type. I like the look of the SE seats, which seem to provide more support than mine do. I have been told that the wiring for the SE seats exists in the base also, which makes sense because the wiring for the heaters/airbags is in the base already.

Here is my question/concern.

I have been looking at pictures online, and in some the heater controls are on the dash like mine. In others, the heater controls aren't on the dash (I guess they are on the seats?) This could cause me a lot of grief.

So..
1. Where are your seat controls located? (model and year)
2. Has anyone pulled a seat recently and can you comment on wiring?
