The "SOLVED" message was posted by my son who was helping me work this out. The new Vector might be okay but that doesn't help the hundreds with openers that won't program. I have informed Angel Kleinbriel at Homelink (800-822-2399 x2620) about this. She has been very helpful and will no doubt be instrumental in persuading Saab that a true fix (rather than the patch we used) will rquire a recall. In the meantime, if you have access to a model that actually works, you can temporarily swap the mirrors, program it and move it back. Just don't let anyone tell you that you don't know how to program rolling codes, aren't holding the button long enough or in the right place or need a new mirror, etc, etc. It's all a waste of time. It is NOT the mirror or you.
