do you know if the 60k service was done to the car? Check on that first, that should answer a lot of your questions if the service was performed. If not, check your manual and note what the 60k involves. Its a lot, including fluid flushes (brake, coolant) and belt replacement. Replace the idler pulley if not done at 60k (or if you don't know). Belt condition ok? Check the condition of the brake fluid and coolant. Bear in mind that Saab has a 90,000 mile service schedule, which you are coming up on. Its not as in-depth as the 60k. RTM (read the manual) to see what Saab recommends for that one.
Check the pads and rotors. If they are ok don't mess with them. Pull the plugs and check the condition and gap. A cheap and easy thing to replace. Gap to about 0.8-0.9mm, use NGKs.
