But I think the wire from pin 66 in Trionic to pin 17 in main unit is the one doing the work.
The other wire goes from pin 19 in Trionic to pin 9 in main instrument and seems to pull a transistor of some sort.
Are you trying to disable the light? Maybe it's possible to turn it off just like the 9-5 model using the Tech 2 scanner?
