undercoating

I noticed that the undercoating in the rear wheelwells of my '00 9-3 was either not applied evenly at the factory or some of it has come off, leaving the silver body color exposed. Has anyone noticed this with their 9-3s? The car is a CPO w/ 42K on it. I purchased it just nine days ago. In the winter, I normally get the under-chassis rinse when I take a car to the carwash so I don't think rust will be an issue, but extra protection is always nice to have. Wondering if I should have the dealer touch up the undercoating...
