1) Yes, use the supplied bolts & Nylock nuts.
2) I got this info from SAS:
--------
"You certainly could paint the bar with some sort of protective finish if you are so inclined. However, it is not necessary. Our bars are plated with a zinc yellow coating. We have found this to be sufficient protection against the elements since we started selling sway bars in the 1980s. Most of our bars are sold to customers in the northeast and midwest and are subjected to plenty of snow and salted roads and we have never had to replace one. ... I think any paint would work okay for the top coat. If looks are not the concern, you could always coat it with rubberized undercoating and that will never chip but it looks like the rest of the underside of the car."
--------
3) I put a dab of syn grease on the threads before I bolted everything together, & SAS suggested reducing the torque from 25 ft/lbs to 20 ft/lbs. This is the same force as needed for the spark plugs & oil drain bolt, if that gives you a better feel for how tight to make 'em.
4) Yeah, it's amazing that I can buy a $10 toy for my kid & get nicely-printed instructions, but a $135 car part has 7th generation Xerox copies ... (Y'know, my Forge DVR instructions looked the same way ... )
5) I had a rubber hose clamped on top of each brake line, & the clamps needed rotating to move the hose & keep it from getting pinched by the wrench. Wear glasses to keep dirt & rust out of your eyes. Don't let the kids get in & out of the car while you've got your fingers in the springs.
