I can't quite figure out your problem, but it sounds similiar to the one that Mavis Discount Tire of White Plains, NY caused on my 92 900. They over-tightened the oil drain plug and thereby created a small crack in the transmission case. Rather than replace the entire case, (which I guess corresponds to the 9-3 oil pan) I took it to Ericcson Industries and they cut the damaged section out of the case, and welded in a piece from another transmission case. That cost around $300. I don't have the exact address for Ericcson, but I'm sure someone else on this board will. Good luck, and stop going to the dealer for service.
