Not really, its pretty obvious once you get the dash apart. Everything can only plug in one way, so its pretty foolproof. If only my amp worked!! Do you have the DIN radio removal tool to pop off the stereo? And, torx scewdrivers to remove the dash bolts? The Audio FAQ on here explains how to remove the glovebox.....and then the kick panel is just 2 screws, and it slides out.
Only thing that is remotely tricky is that the plug for the phone is labelled "AMP" as thats the company that makes it. Thats not for the amp. But, this plug fits nothing on the amp anyway, so you couldn't use it if you wanted.
My replacement amp was supposed to come today from Goldwing. Lets hope it comes tomorrow. If not, time to call Goldwing again. They are supposed to be good, but the guy seemed pissed/had an attitude when I called to say the first one they sent me was defective. Surprising, since the receipt from them for my purchase was full of Jesus references. Not that that means anything, but you'd *think* that means they are honest and friendly. So, we'll see what happens tomorrow.
