I'm going to pick up my '99 9-3 with 56K miles today, and I'm finding it difficult to contain my excitement, my first saab. I bought it from a 2nd owner private party that by the looks of it took excellent care of the vehicle. It was a lease car for the first 3years/36K. I don't really have any detailed maintainance records for it unfortunately. The only major thing the last owner did was replace the front rotors, besides changing the oil every 3.5K. Is there a way to get the maintainance history on an old lease car from a dealer? Also, what if anything is done for the scheduled maintainance through 36K miles?
I've been watching this BB for a couple of weeks now, which by the way was a major factor in my purchase. DI problems seem to come up quite a lot. Is there a way to check if the DI has been replaced already? If it hasn't, should I do a preemptive strike and replace it in the near future? Besides this, what other preventive maintainance should be done as my lovely car nears 60K miles?
Thanks for your help.
