That will fix the problem for some people. I have a similar problem, but as far as I can tell, the bolts in question are tight. I had the dealer look at it, and they pointed out that there's a crack in the rubber in the strut mount, but they're not sure if that's the cause of the problem.
For you, this should definitely be covered under warranty. Drive around with your mechanic until you can reproduce the sound. They can try replacing parts under warranty to see if that fixes it...if what they replace doesn't help, you're not out any money. Have them look at the rubber in the strut mount. If that's cracked, and if they replace it and that fixes the problem, I'd be very interested to hear that. I'm not under warranty, so I want to make sure that whatever work they do is going to fix the problem!
