the ongoing quest
Most, if not all, MBC's are designed with a small bleedport to reduced pressure spikes and overshoot. With the use of the anticipator setup, what do you think would happen if I blocked off this port? Being that the theory behind this setup is to apply pressure to the wastegate, priming it for the MBC, thus reducing pressure spikes, resulting in fuels cuts, it seems that the MBC's need for the bleed port is reduced. What I am thinking is that if I block off this port, then once the MBC ball lifts off its' seat, all air will go the the wastegate, which, in theory, means a faster response to the wastegate which is already primed by the Air pressure regulator making a quicker release of the pressure. Although I suppose that the left over air in the line once the MBC closes has no where to go. Help me out Dean...
Does this theory make sense? I suppose trying it might be the only way to tell.
I will try to get some fact based emperical data on the current setup this weekend. I have no idea how much air pressure is getting through the APR at the current time.
