'Turbo belts'??? Hey maybe you wanna buy a flux capacitor from me, cheap???
There's no belt of any kind related to the turbo. Just one big drive belt over on the RH side for the AC, PS, alternator, etc...
Yes, I suppose it's a bit louder than a Honda, but I bet that's not why you picked a Saab to buy. You could listen closely from the engine compartment while the engine's running. Ours isn't really loud, so maybe something is beginning to go bad. If any noise strikes you as unusual, pinpoint it's location & post about it. Just like ANY car, the accessories can develop bad bearings. Plus, there's the tensioner pulley or idler pulley on the drive belt, which have been known to destroy themselves... Take a good look.
The sound of the turbo - ours is like a 'whoosh' sound coming from forward of the glovebox. The thing about the turbo, is the noise starts maybe 1/2 second AFTER you hit the gas pedal.
