Gents, thanks for your helpful responses. My dealer called me this morning with a method to over-ride the sunroof....hold down the rear window lock on the drivers door and then push the sunroof button forward to close the roof. It works, but the car has to go back to have things checked over. With 5 days from date of deposit to pre-arranged pick-up, why the car wasn't "perfect" is beyond my imagination!
However, I'm less than impressed with the dealer. Late last night I went into the garage and poked in all the nooks and crannies of the car, and in the trunk I find a "Saab Dedicated Delivery Program" Initial pre-delivery check list -- completely blank. One could argue that the dealer sees many cars go out and uses another format, but....many of the items on this list have clearly not been checked. For example, I saw this car with all the plastic on it at 7 miles and put 10 miles on it during my test drive before leaving a deposit, and I picked it up with an additional mile on it. Form says the road test is a minimum of 5 miles/15 minutes. Form says to test On-Star for connection....I sat in the car for 25 minutes with the salesman trying to make the connection. Tires pressures, according to plackard, are supposed to be 34 psi...I checked the tires this morning and they ranged from 44 to 51 psi!
Obviously, this car was not checked over and along with the many programming glitches I will have to return to the dealer and hope they put in the time this time (I'm sure SAAB USA wants all cars to leave the dealers with a "copy exact" programming status to start).
Needless to say, I'm less than thrilled with the dealership at this moment.
But enough of that -- Thanks, gentlemen, for your helpful responses.
