Do a search for "bevan" and you'll find a link to his audio upgrade guide which shows how to remove the door panel.
The main problem is that some of the screws that need to be removed are in the door where it meets the body of the car at the bottom, and a small plastic pin in the side that you'll likely have to break. In addition the lock tab that sticks up through the top of the door panel will prevent you from pulling the top part of the panel away even with the screws that you can get to removed.
If it were me I'd probably bite the bullet and take it to a dealer to see if they had a recommendation. I'm not sure how you can fix this without breaking a lot of stuff in the process. The dealer may tell you the same but at least you'd know for sure there's no way to do it without making a mess.
I've taken one of my door panels off at least 5 times trying to eliminate an annoying rattle. It's easy to do if the door is open, but if not I'm not sure how you'd do it.
Good luck,
John
