dashboard center panel... Posted by JimBlake [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: removing 9-3 interior trim without busting clips, miles, Thu, 2 Oct 2003 09:39:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had to take the dashboard faceplate off of our '01. The sorta flat panel that surrounds the cluster, radio, SID, & airvents.
That thing had a bunch of screws hidden everywhere. Take out the radio and it's 'basket', SID, & the cupholder is built into the SID basket. There's screws hidden there. I think there were a couple if you look upwards into the SID hole. The headlight switch twists CCL & pulls out. I think there's a screw hidden in there. Foglight switches pull straight out, but its easier if you reach in thru the headlight hole & push. Maybe there's a screw hidden there, too.
There's a metal clip at each end, around the outside of the vents. It didn't break, but it falls off when you pull the panel. The RH one fell down & I had to take off the passenger kickpanel to find it. But you'll probably have that off to get to the amp.
Cliff notes... Lotsa hidden screws, 2 clips that fall off but they didn't break.
