i've been talking to my local dealer about a leftover 03 9-3 arc (loaded, $35,400 msrp) that he has. he's offered me the car for $29,700 but last night he emailed me that there's another dealer interested in the car. now this may very well be a bluff but maybe not.

my question is at what price will he give up the car to another dealer?? i doubt he's trading cars as this is a leftover and the other dealer won't likely give up an allocation spot for an 04, and i also highly doubt another dealer would pay the $29,700 that i've been offered. he has $1000 in holdback, my assumption is that if another dealer gets and sells the car my dealer is s.o.l. in terms of making any money and he won't get to service the car. i'm hoping he comes back to me with a fresher offer but if not i'll move on....
