I am getting some weird vibrations in the steering wheel which I would normally attribute to a wheel problem (bent/warped rim or tire funk), but the vibrations seem variable in intensity and occurrence. It seems variable according to acceleration, temperature, and load (left/right).
Vibrations are more like an oscillation through the steering wheel instead of a straight vibration one would feel with wheel/tire problems. Shifter seems to vibrate a bit too (don't rest my hand on the shifter usually so I haven't really "studied" it yet). Tires and rims are relatively new but could certainly be suspect (love the potholes...). On the freeway, doing about 75 and feel a slight vibration but when I go WOT and begin to accelerate the vibration instantly changes and gets stronger. The vibration typically sets in at about 45-50 mph, is bad at about 65 and seems to feather out at about 85 'ish.
I know it sounds like a rim/tire issue but the variable nature and the ability to induce as noted above makes me wonder if something else is up. Thus I hope to get input from 9-3'ers that have experience or knowledge of what a broken motor mount or other breaks that may produce similar behavior.
Thanks!
