Premim fuels, by federal regs, must have additives to combat the formation of fuel deposits. But, whatever, you will still get deposits with premium fuels, more so with lesser fuels. And its much worse with RFG-II fuels in the last few years.

Regular fuel injector cleaners will clean your injectors, but will make combustion cleaners worse. T.C. will clean injectors and reduce combustion chamber deposits. Who cares? Your ECU cares and to avoid knocking from deposit hot spots, will kill ignition timing and responsiveness.

And it depends where you are, If at lower altutudes,excuding CA, you have 93 or mabe 94 octane. Thats great. 92 octane is marginal for the higher output classic Saab 4 cyl engines. If you ever feel histitation on throttle, use higher octane if available, otherwise check your plugs or try T.C. if its been a while.

How the new engines react is not fully understood. Whenever you wonder about such things, consider the plugs and injectors.

For the previous versions of Saab engines, it seems that using T.C. 3x per year or every 8K is helpful. As you care for your vehicle over time, you will be able to sense these things and post your observations. Much of which will be subject to whats on hand for fuel.

It seems that the best oil for your engine is M1 0W40.
