viggen with Abbott Racing upgrades

I'm looking into buying 1999 viggen with a number of Abbot Racing upgrades, Trionic Management System, exhaust, intercooler, rescue kit, etc. The car has 42,000 mles and is in beautiful condition. The dealer that installed the mods claims it makes over 300 hp, I drove it, it's a beast. I'm a little nervous about the long term aspects of making 300 hp from a 2.0 liter engine. I'm sure it's a matter of how often you flog it, but I'm planning on using the car for a couple of track sessions a year, which means I'll be calling on the hp big. Any thoughts?
BTW, the car's owner is asking $23,000 for the car, it's got a brand new set of BBS RK II's with Pirelli Rossas, and snows on the stock wheels. He's put a ton of money into it, be it still seems a little overpriced (mods don't do much for resale, they may even hurt).
Thanks,
Rob
