OUCH. Maybe overtightened? Cross your fingers & hope that you didn't crack the oil pan. ($$$$) I forgot what you want - 20 lbf-ft? That's easy to get with a ratchet, WITHOUT an extension bar.
You're 'supposed' to use a new washer each time, but I usually reuse them a few times. I had a leak once when I must have gotten some dirt under the washer. Fixed that by unscrewing the plug a few turns & wiping the washer & seating surfaces clean.
