If your 2000 Viggen is still under factory warranty than likely a 6 year 60,000 mile warranty is an extension of the 4 year factory warranty by 2 years and 10,000 miles which is consistent with a price in the $2k range.
I've never heard of a warranty company that would go 6 years from when you purchase a warranty on a 4 year old car. 3 years yes, occasionally 4 years, but never +6.
Usually its 2-24, 3-36 or 4-48 on a used car from the date you purchase the warranty, which makes your use of the 6-60 terminology make me think that refers to the total length of the warranty from the "in service" date or when the car was new.
If it is 6 years and 60,000 miles from today on a 2000 vehicle, and a bumper to bumper coverage as opposed to a named component warranty or just a powertrain warranty, then sign me up too, that's way too cheap and makes me suspicious of the warranty company.
