Could be a variety of things...

- Have you run any fuel injector cleaner through the tank recently?

A clogged injector will cause the exact symptoms you mention (rough at low rpm & CEL). My '99 9-3 did it, one can of BG44K with a fresh tank of 93 octane and life was good! Try BG44K, it works great. Check out my link on locating from wayyyy back:

- What type of fuel?

Lower octane fires easier in cold weather but higher octanes usually include freeze prevention agents. If on one, might try the other for a tank.

- Fuel filters?

Ever changed? Cold could have revealed some debris that is obstructing flow.

- And as a general point to check like always, regap your plugs (and make sure they look good).

Start with the basics as they are cheap are often the best remedy.

If it keeps happening, please let us know and we can try find more detailed things to look into.
