took around 3 hours with an rear windshield stealth antenna and it is very nice , i will post a picture when i can.
my early 99 9-3 did not come prewired with a mic and for speaker out connections so i ended up using the motorola mic mounted on the driver visor, overall it is a slick setup , the radio mutes when you place a call or for an incoming call and the sound quality from the mic and motorola speaker(mounted under the passenger dash in the footwell ) is quite good.using either the speed dial or voice presets on the phone it is real easy to make outgoing calls.
i believe i can run the speaker out through the head unit by making appropriate connections to it(pins 1 and 3 on the top head unit connector which later models came already prewired ) but did not have time to tackle that part. has anyone done that? if anyone is interested in doing an install and needs help let me know. john
