The O2 sensors are upstream of the exhaust pipe damage, so they would not be affected. I am not familiar with your specific fuel system and how the on-board diagnostics checks fuel vapor, but it seems like your fears are founded. Sorry.
Other than a CEL, the vapor leak is not really a huge deal. Just a few years ago, vented fuel fill caps used to allow vapor to escape into the atmosphere unchecked. So, the CEL would just be annoying. It shouldn't affect vehicle performance if it is truely just a vapor leak.
However your exhaust leak concerns me a great deal. You have all that carbon monoxide leaking right at the firewall - not so good when you are idling at a stoplight and that stuff is trying to get into the cabin! I would worry about getting that fixed first. Sorry I don't have better news... well it's sunny outside today, does that count?
Good luck with the fixes.
