Can you describe your symptoms to me? The pulling... you mentioned pulling. Can you elaborate a bit more on this?
The reason i ask is cause when I first got my Viggen (I bought it used), I noticed that the steering wheel is off center slightly. I took it to the dealer for an alignment, and they came back saying the rear axle was bent. But here is the problem... i never feel or have ever felt pulling. The car drives perfectly straight, no pulling at all, even when i let go of the steering wheel while driving.
I went off and did a bunch of measurements on my car to check toe in/out and camber angle, and found out that everything was within spec. I also got the alignment reports from the Saab dealer that the previous owner took the car to, saying the everything was okay.
I have since ignored the problem, and have just checked my tread wear on the rears every so often. The right rear wears ever so slightly ahead of the left rear, because its camber angle is a little bit greater than the left side (but still within specs).
I was quoted just under $2600 CDN for the axle work. Just be careful though... Let the driveability of the car dictate whether you pursue the work. If you are experiencing pulling though, I am guessing that your axle might have bending resulting in incorrect toe angle as well.
