There is a gasket where the two pump halves are bolted together. I have not seen that reported as a leaker.
The pump connects to the block with a floating aluminum adapter and two o-rings. The o-rings get hard and start to leak. You have to jank the pump to get at it. The pump kits usually come with those 0-rings and a third for the small hard pipe that connect to it. When deep into labor to replace a few o-rings, it is wise to replace the pump at that time. Time for a flush and new coolant and a new stat?
You can get the whole pump from Saab, or the front half in the aftermarket which includes the o-rings and a new gasket.
Its probably 3 hours of labor. Some do this DIY.
