The low restriction filter increases MPG's. I don't think so. The auto manufacturures would leap at that if true. When on partial throttle, the pressure drop across the filter and TB will remain constant. So if less restriction on the filter, the throttle will be slightly more closed to get the same manifold pressures. Someone should sue AutoZone for promoting that myth. That was true for engines with carbs, not true for computer controlled fuel injection systems.
Most engines improve in MPGs as they wear in. Changes in fuel can change MPGs.
Don't post info that there are problems with re-oiling if you don't have any useful data. That is the first I have heard of that.
