I was writing back and forth with Nick Taliaferro (or someone who works for him) and asked him if the Bridgstone Potenza SO-3s are just as capable of preventing 'bent rim syndrome' as his claimed Pirelli P-6000's were. He repilied with the following, "Only 87 on the S0-3 , VS 91 on the 6000 XL and Pzero Nero XL. It does not seem like much but it makes a huge difference" What does "87" refer to and why does it make a difference? The conversation was about why the P-6000 is the best tire to prevent rim bending.
