Brake Pads/Software Update/2003 9-3 Vector

I took my car (9-3 Vector 2003) with 9000 miles on it in
yesterday for service due to a 'rattle' in the front and
a high pitched prolonged squeak when I pressed on the brake
peddle.
Also, I had asked for the 2 new software updates: a) Saab 9-3
System Update and 2) Onstar Update.
The brake problem was due to bad brake pads which they fixed/replaced.
The squeal and the rattle have stopped.
The software update was, I thought, supposed to fix the problem of
being able to push the button on your remote and have all 4 windows
and the sun roof open.
However, when I got home, all that would open is the sun roof. The
other windows do not roll down. In the Quick reference guide for the
2003 Saab 9-3, it says this is available. When I bought it, they told me
that they were waiting for the update. Well, I thought that the Update
was what they did yesterday.
I guess I'll have to go back and find out.
Any Suggestions?
Also does anyone know what the new Onstar Software Update included?
I did notice that they wiped out the memory on my 'voice' activated call
list--fortunately I only had 5 numbers on it.
Does the new Onstar Update provide 1) remote diagnostics and 2) remote unlock for the Saab??
Thanks & Happy Holidays
