Slow to respond to Mike'e earlier posting about our new 9-3SS. What a great experience it was to deal with a true Saab guy. I like talking with a car salesman that knows as much about a car as I do (well, in Mike's case - I admit he knows more - quite unusual:)).

Ok - so here is a plug for Marvin K Brown. If any of you are considering a new Saab, and are within a few hours driving range to San Diego, give Mike a call at 619-291-2040 and see what he can do for you. Mike is a store house of knowledge on Saabs, and was very professional during the sale. No surprises, or tricks, you can take his word. I also give Marvin K Brown a B grade overall. This is up from a C minus a few years ago, and quickly on it's way to earning an A grade. I find the service writers, Don and Larry, to be very good people to work with. Heck, why limit yourself by driving? San Diego is a great place to visit. Call Mike, work the deal via phones and faxes - and then fly to San Diego for a quick get away, with a Drive Home feature!!

The 9-3SS? I purchased this to turn over to my daughter in two-three years when she graduates from Law School (I've posted before, that I will still love her...). So many of the items I included/excluded on the car were with her in mind as the long term owner of the car (we keep most of our cars over 10 years).

So far, the car has been great. I'm doing the things that I do to new cars now - so have not driven it very much yet. I plan to post an update when I have over 500 miles or so on the car.

Happy new years to all,
Keep on Saabing!
