I see. It might be something else going on in your car that either fry the cassette or create similar symptoms.
Don't know why it would cure for awhile when a new cassette is installed though.
You would probably need to find a good mechanic that have the interest to search for the culprit instead of just changing parts.
I must say that this sounds to be quite a challenge to solve.
As I said earlier, don't pay too much attention to partnumbers in the coming year, GM is changing old Saab numbers as soon as they can and it is a mess right now since many numbers have been the same for quite awhile.
