i hope someone answers this because i searched the old posts and people with this problem didn't seem to get replies for the most part.
and someone else just posted almost the same thing for a 9-3 but i don't know if that's different or not...
1996 900s automatic. at some point during the 2 weeks when it never stopped raining here in the northeast, my car developed this stalling problem. if i start it and try to drive or back up immediately w/o waiting, it bucks wildly and dies. starts right back up and drives perfectly after that. it stopped raining (for the most part) about a week ago but this still happens. i usually get a shudder if not an actual stall out. i need to remember to let the car sit a little bit in park because it shudders so violently, i'm probably damaging it by letting it happen. also, my foot is not on the gas when this happens. i'm usually releasing the brake pedal to start moving.
my battery is kind of old (2001) but worked fine all winter. the IAC was just cleaned in april or so.
thanks for any suggestions you can throw out there.
