Chris, sounds like you have 3 separate issues here. You can have the radio repaired by sendin it away. Go to the "Classified" section of Saabnet and look under "Parts". There is a listing where you can replace or repair your unit.

The Antenna may have motor problem, but also may have a slight bend in it which makes it work too hard to go up. When it is in the up position, just check to make sure it is really straight. If it is not, very lightly try to bend it in the opposite direction until you are satisfied that it will retract with less friction. My antenna had a couple of bends which made it stick a little when going up. Next put some oil or lubricant on all the seams where the antenna collapses. Then see if will go up and down. After I did this mines had been working great.

For the SID do a search on the forum and you will find you are not alone with that problem. You should also find a few handy do it yourself repair instructions. I have attached a link that will take you there.

However, I was at my dealer Monday, with my 1999 93 and I told them of my SID problems. I am out of warranty but they gave me the phone number of the SaabCars national number. They told me to call the number and ask it Saab would replace it anyway since they know it has been a defective part.

My dealer said other customers have gotten Saab to do it for the Good Will. You may want to check with you local dealer to see if they can help as well.

Good Luck.
