All,
I just bought a 2001 9-3 CPO in September, with 30K on the clock. Over the last week or so, I have noticed that the engine is running a little bit rough when it is first started up and every once in a while, the exhaust seems smokey, when I first turn it over. For some reason, the smoke is much more noticable when I start the car in the garage at work. After a short idle, the car seems to run fine and does not smoke anymore. I may just be very paranoid, but do I have a problem and what could it be?
Here are just a few facts about the car. When I bought it, the dealership said that all of the fluids were changed, but I called the service department a few days later, and they said that the oil was the only thing that was changed. My commute to work is less than a mile and because of the area that I live in, I do a lot of stop and go driving. I only feed the car 93 octane gas.
Any and all opinions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Smokey at Start-Up
