At least here in California, for the 2001 model, NOTHING is covered for 100K miles. The warranties are:
24K / 2 years: Federal emissions control
50K / 4 years : Bumper to bumper
50K / 3 years : California Emission control systems/performance
Unlimited miles / 5 years: safety belts/airbags
Unlimited miles / 6 years: Corrosion/perforation
70K / California Emission Control System Extended defects
80K / 8 years : Federal emissions performance
Since the turbo has nothing to do with safety belts or corrosion, the longest POTENTIALLY applicable warranty would be the 80K federal emissions performance warranty; but the 80K coverage only extends to a few parts, none of which is the turbo. The CALIFORNIA emissions warranty does specifically extend to the turbocharger, but only for 7 years/70K miles, whichever comes first. So I'm 10K miles past the applicability of that one.
Again, I see NO warranty for the 2001 in California that lasts 100K miles -- am I missing something?
