Those are codes which Saab associated with soot on the plugs. The dealer is meant to fit new plugs (at your expense) and send you on your way.
So you can check your plugs and if they look fouled, put in new ones and see if your old DI works ok. I don't undertand this enough to know if the existance of these codes implies that you do or do not have the new ECU extended DI diagnostics.
It seems that you need the latest code on the ECU and the Tech-II and after new plugs further diagnostics can be run. Perhaps some others with a deeper knowledge will clear that up.
But in any case, if its not the plugs, it is the DI.

Reference: New Fault Diagnosis for Ignition Discharge Modules, 2000 & later 9-3 and 9-5
models with Trionic 7
Note: This is a an updated release from today, 3/17/04, of a bulletin originally posted on Jan. 27, 2004.
Changes from the original posting deal with different procedures on cars with stored DTC's of P0340, P1312, P1324, and P1334. In cases where those codes are stored, spark plugs are to be replaced and DTC's cleared prior to running the IDM diagnostic procedure.
Attached are two Technical Service Bulletins covering a new diagnosis procedure for Ignition Discharge Module (IDM-previously referred to as the DI cassette) failures on 2001 and later 9- 3 and 9-5 models with T7 engine management systems. On all affected 9-3 models and 9-5
models below VIN 33041133 the ECM software must first be updated via SPS programming with the latest version of TIS2000. 9-5's with a VIN of 33041133 and above have the software installed from the factory.
On ALL cases where the IDM is the most likely cause of failure, this Technical Service Bulletin MT be followed BEFORE THE IDM IS REPLACED even if the IDM failure is obvious.
Additional work, such as replacement of the IDM must be submitted on a separate warranty claim.
