CPO-worth it for me

I noticed a lot of chatter lately like "I'm buying a 99, should I bother with CPO?" I'd say yes based on my last 8 months of first-time Saab ownership.
CEL came on a few months after purchase, took it in, replaced turbo bypass valve, no charge. Of course, not a very expensive repair, but...went in 2 weeks ago with CEL again. I had been having rough starts pretty much since day 1, as well. Dealer said that they had to provide software upgrade per Saab USA then give the car back to see if light came on again. Told me at the time that the CEL was coding for misfire, so of course I'm thinking DIC.
CEL comes on again and mostly stays on. Took it in today, code for DIC, gave me brand new DIC and plugs under warranty. Car starts right up on the first turn of the key.
My "extra" $1500 peace of mind CPO has so far saved me $800 or so in dealer repair costs, or at least $500 in DIY. With two more years on the warranty, I'm a happy camper. Now I just have to clean off the engine so the rest of it looks as sparkly as the new DIC.
By the way, this forum has been incredible. Being able to predict problems with your car and understanding dealer diagnostics is priceless.
