I have had the front EBC Greens and replaced them recently with the Hawk HPS. I replaced the OEM rear pads with the Hawks too. The Greens are a hard pad. They need to be broken in per EBC's instructions. If you don't use them hard all the time they will not wear uniformly and after time it will feel like the rotors are warped. This happened to me. When I replaced them with the Hawks I expected the technician to turn the front rotors. He said they didn't need turning. After he installed the Hawks the warped rotor sensation was gone. There is an internet article on this phenom of non-uniform pad wear seeming like warped rotors, but I don't remember where it is.
Anyway the Hawk HPS pads are very quiet and don't dust much. They have been easy on the rotors too. They don't have as much bite as the Greens but are better than OEM's. I am happy with them both in town and on my weekend mountain excursions. Based on my experience, I prefer them to the Greens or the OEM pads. I would buy them again. I got them from tirerack.
