Kind of beat this to death...

I'm a died in the wool stick driver. I have a 45 minute dream commute over mountain roads with a little bit of everything thrown in. I even spent some time driving cross-country in a big truck with a 13 speed when I was a kid...
The problem here is when upshifting. Not downshifting. Just as I would blip the throttle to match revs when downshifting, I would expect the revs to drop when I let off the gas and select the next higher gear (say 2nd to 3rd). In most cars, you would just drop it in and the revs would likely match. Everybody's happy. If I'm going up through the gears on a normal commute, my engine doesn't drop when I let off the gas and select the next higher gear. If I go ahead and let the clutch out without waiting for the revs to drop, then the car pulls the revs down to the speed in that gear. While I buy into the syncro argument, in my case the clutch is taking a beating by having to pull the engine down to the lower rpm experienced in the next higher gear. If this were a big rig where you're shifting without the clutch, I'm sure it wouldn't even go into gear. It's just not right and I don't think it makes me weird! Now do you understand what I'm saying? Maybe I wasn't explaining myself very well.
