I've had both and can honestly say your throwing your money away if you get the abbott unit. The bar is just to small to make any real noticeable differance. In fact a couple years ago people who bought the abbott unit, like myself had to double the bar with the stock unit to give it a more robust feeling. The SAS bar is also zinc plated so it will withstand the weather better. The Abbott bar, like all the others is spray painted with some sort of spray paint, not even epoxy based. Also the hardware on the SAS is grade five can't remember what the Abbott unit had. In theory the higher the grade the more it can withstand. Hope this helps.
