Mine are studded but I hear they are better than Gislaved on the ice with no studs. They have SOME of the ice gripping compound but without studs do not match the Blizzak.
I do not have TCS (1999 9-3) but I found that, as opposed to all seasons, the Hakka2 will keep gripping even when the tires start to spin or when pressed into a skid or slide. This is very important and makes them a real winner in my book. In the snow tih my all seasons, the car would quickly lose complete grip if the tires started to spin. Not so with the Hakka2. :)
You may want to disable the TCS when accelerating in the deep stuff if it doesn't allow enough wheelspin.
