Temp Sensor Broken by idiot

That's right...I did it! I was trying to figure out the buzz from behind the interior temp sensor in my dash and I broke it. I have a 99 9-3SE and I put my key in the "bullseye" looking grill in my dash to pull it off and get to the temp sensor fan behind it. Unfortunately, I broke off the very end of hte sensor. It looks like a little thermometer attached (well it WAS attached) to the end of a circuit board.
Everything seems to function ok, but I'm not sure it'll stay that way. Any ideas on what I've done and how to fix it?
Terribly embarrased by my stupid move.
Trevyn
