My first time using a message board so here goes...
Our lease is about up and we plan to buy the car (93 se Auto) So here are two questions I wonder if anyone could advise on... firstly is there anyway to buy the car for less than the amount left on the final payment or is that price locked in at lease inception? Secondly and more importantly when we have bought the car is there a simple way to give it a bit more go, a new chip etc? Nothing to radical (my wife might spot the difference) I have head of chips that can deliver better fuel economy and more power or is this just a myth? Also I do not want to put undue strain on the gearbox etc. Lastly is there a good Saab mechanic in the Queens area of NYC
On a end note, the car has been terrific, its driven through snow storms to Nova Scotia and regularly gets filled to capacity in my work as a designer, I have considered other cars but none seem to deliver the Saabs perfect balance in such a neat package.
