What exhaust to choose?

I've made the following mods to my base '99 T5 so far:
-MBC+A
-Aftermarket BOV
-Speedparts cone filter
and I plan on the following:
-Viggen intercooler
-Intake transition smoothing
-Sport exhaust
What benefit, if any, would a full turbo-back exhaust provide? Is a cat-back just as good with these mild modifications? I'd also like to stay away from that 'rice' sound if possible.
