Changing factory head unit for Satellite ready unit

Hi all!
I just bought a 2001 93 SE (certified with 25k miles on it), and I'm thinking about buying an aftermarket Sirius satellite radio ready head unit. I already have a Sirius "plug and play" unit (which has a built in FM transmitter that doesn't work well if I'm near any college radio stations, but they sell a part to correct that problem) in my 91 900T (156K), but I do not really want to ruin the dash of the newer car by screwing the plug and play mounting plate into it (FYI- I didn't screw into dash of 1991- I was able to mount where equalizer used to be). Have any audio companies developed a kit for 93's yet? Do I still have to lose the steering wheel audio controls? I really like them... they are a nice comfort feature for someone who's been driving the 900T since 1998.
The dealer I purchased car from says he thinks one of his clients was able to do it on a 1999, but I think he's clueless, or was just trying to make a sale.
If anyone can offer me any help, or advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Chris
